This is the shit!

I'm back at work, I got home 24 hours ago and I think that I feel good about the mixing. It's hard to tell after listening to the songs so much during the last two weeks. Viktor Ginner, my producer and I did quite alot of the mixing before I went to Berlin to mix the songs with Matt, we recorded the first song over a year ago so the process has been quite slow. Since then I've come to realise that Viktor is a musical genius. He has an ear for music that few people are blessed with. This is him, singing with his own band called Rupesh Cartel. Be sure to check them out.

Viktor and I worked well in a team, even though I think that he sometimes wished that I would'nt not be such a control freak and just let myself go. With the flow. I dunno. I always want to prove to myself and to all other people that I can actually do this. People always asume wih music, that the guy did all the important stuff, and that sort of annoys me. That's why I recorded demo versions of all the songs by myself before the real recordings began. Cause I wanted to feel that I actually wrote all the melodies. I mean Viktor wrote melodies too and he's the big brain behind the beats and always came with great ideas about how I could change things to make them better, but I just had to feel that I was behind it in every sense, which sort of slowed the whole process down. I'm not sure what I want to say by this, except, Thank you, Viktor. You're great.

This is Matt Didemus
We met at the Junior Boys tour In the UK in february this year, I played the support slot on the UK shows. I really like Junior Boys, they are really nice people and I love their sound. Their last records, "This Is Goodbye" would make the list of my 2006 top ten records. That's why I got really excited to get the chance to work with Matt on these 12 songs. We've worked every day for the last two weeks, and he made the sounds open up and let some fresh air through the songs, which was needful for some of them. We mostly worked at his place but we wanted to run everything through a mixing desk to get the analog sound of it. The studio we used is called Radio Buelle Brueck Studio. Thank you, Matt.

The album will get released in the spring of 2008, Until then I will try to persuade some of my favourite musical acts to do some remixes and hopefully they will like the songs as much as I do.
